I can't believe that this year is almost over! With Christmas coming up, and New Year's Eve right around the corner, there's so many holiday parties to dress up for! Today's outfit would be perfect for a more casual get together. I like to layer and play with lots of different textures and fabrics for my outfits. Best Holiday Value Sets for Gifting

What I love about this time of year is all of the awesome gift sets that come out for the holidays. One of my gift hacks - is to buy a few of these sets and break them up to gifts to my girlfriends and family. I've rounded up some of the best holiday value sets out there that would be great to combine together into a little gift bundle. I like to combine a makeup product like a lippie or a mascara, a face mask and maybe something additional like a notebook or fancy hair tie. The combinations are endless. Best of all, you can even make yourself a little bundle to keep also! What are some of your holiday gift hacks?

Winter Florals + OTK Boots

Florals aren't just reserved for springtime. I love wearing floral prints all year long and styling them to fit the current season. For this look, I paired this floral print dress in a winter color palette with over the knee boots and a metallic silver purse to make it perfect for this time of year. Since I live in California where it doesn't get too cold, I can get away with pairing my dresses with over the knee boots to keep warm, I mean they're almost like pants right? All of my jewelry is of course from The Songbird Collection. You can use code THREADSNBREADS for 20% OFF your entire purchase! I love this look for dinner out with the girls, or even a holiday party, which is what I wore this to! Throw on a coat or thick cardigan and you're ready to go out for the night!

Nude Slouchy | Kit Coffee

I'm obsessed with the nude/neutral clothes look. Although, it's not a look for everyday for me, it's fun to channel my inner Kanye by wearing clothes that don't look like I'm wearing clothes. Instead of the tight spandex/spanx look, I'm wearing a more slouchy tunic that is perfect for the Fall season.

Marsee ZeroX Bluetooth Speakers | Product Review

When I'm working on projects or the blog, I love having music playing in the background to help get me in the flow to get stuff done. Music can really set the mood when you're trying to get a lot of work done, or get ready to go out, or even to relax. I got this new bluetooth speaker from Amazon*, that I'm reviewing today, that easily connects to my phone to play tunes.

The Ultimate Fall Jacket: The Bomber

Bomber Jackets are the everywhere! And for a good reason too! We're going thru a casual chic revolution and bomber jackets are the perfect outerwear to pull a casual look together for the fall. These jackets keep us warm as the temperatures start to fall, but are also lightweight and not too thick for those random heat wave days. I love being able to pair it with a casual dress or to wear on top of a t-shirt and some shorts or boyfriend jeans

Off the Shoulder Top | RoseWholesale

I'm loving all things off the shoulder. These tops and dresses that show off your shoulders are super sexy and flirty! It's still very warm and very much summer weather here in Southern California, so I'm still wearing these kinds of tops with shorts. As the weather starts to cool down, it's easy to transition these pieces to Fall by pairing them with pants and boots. I love pairing off the shoulder tops with choker necklaces like this suede wrap one

Easy DIY Cold-brew Coffee

I'm a total caffeine addict, and love having my coffee on the daily. Cold-brew coffee is everywhere now, and for a good reason! It's so much more tasty and flavorful than the regular iced coffee, which is made from brewing hot coffee and pouring it over ice. I normally add cream and sugar to my iced coffees, but with cold-brew I only add a splash of milk! The tradition way of making iced coffee gives you a diluted and more acidic tasting drink. With cold-brew, you are letting the coffee brew for a longer amount of time at a colder temperature, so you get a slightly sweeter coffee without losing depth in flavor.

3 Reasons why you need a pair of knee socks

I love knee socks, they're super fun and comfy. I've got quite the collection of plain black ones to crazy bright print ones.

Here's 3 reasons for why you need some knee socks in your life!

1. I love to wear shorts around the house, especially for lounging because it's the most comfortable. If I do ever get cold, wearing knee socks help to keep my feet warm, especially  when you have cold tile floors.

2 . Knee socks are perfect to wear under boots. I hate when my socks slip when I'm wearing knee high, or even over the knee boots. I have a bunch of pairs of knee socks that I can wear under all my tall boots that will never slip.

3. Knee Socks are great for working out. I love the look of them with sneakers, for that retro feel. They also will protect your shins if you're doing any weightlifting workouts like dead lifts where the bar may come in contact with your shins.

I received these socks from Chrissy's Knee Socks for review purposes. All opinions stated in this post are of my own. I really love collecting different types of knee socks because there's so much personality in each pair. Chrissy's really has a large selection of styles, prints and colors. All of the socks that I received were great in quality, and feel super comfy to wear. They have a good stretch on them, even with the designs. My favorite ones have to be the Donut Socks below since they appeal to my foodie side. Other faves include: Shark Socks, Rainbow Unicorn, and tube socks.

Transition to Fall: Long Line Bomber

Summer is coming to an end, and Fall is just around the corner. The easiest way to transition your summer outfits to fall, is to layer and throw a jacket over it. I love wearing shorts and dresses, so I will continue to wear these outfits well into fall. Adding a jacket will ease the transition to slightly cooler temperatures.

Wrap Maxi with SheIn

I love the look of maxi dresses, especially with a wrap detail. I think the wrap silhouette is super sexy and really looks good on any body type. This dress is from SheIn, a fast fashion website. I was a bit skeptical with how the quality would be seeing as how the prices were so low, but after receiving this dress, I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the fabric was decent and not like that super thin fabric that wrinkles really easily that I've encountered with other cheap brands. Shop this dress here.

I recently received* this leaf print bikini from ZafulZaful is a fast fashion site that offers lots of cute trendy pieces at really affordable prices. The quality is decent for the price. Hello Kitty Pop-Up Cafe at the Irvine Spectrum

The first U.S. semi-permanent Hello Kitty Cafe is now open in Southern California at the Irvine Spectrum Center. This kawaii (Japanese for cute) cafe is housed in a shipping container and is part of a pop-up concept that they're testing out at this Irvine shopping center. The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck has made an appearence at this center previously. From what I hear, this little cafe container will remain at the Spectrum for a whole year. Here's hopes to a permanent brick and mortar cafe in the future. I was able to drop by the container during their soft opening while they were training staff and also stopped in at the media tasting event. I would warn you to expect long lines opening weekend. My advise would be to hold off few weeks for the crowd to die down.

The menu of treats features an assortment of cookies, pastries and tiny cakes. There are both hot and cold teas and coffees offered on the drink menu. They're signature drinks include a strawberry mint lemonade and a really tasty peach iced tea. The coffee drinks feature coffee from the local Portola Coffee Lab. They even have the cutest Hello Kitty bow shaped water bottles.

This is a any Hello Kitty fan's dream! They have the cutest little set up with cafe tables and chairs for guest to hang out. Each treat has something Hello Kitty incorporated, either with a Kitty head or her signature bow. Check out all the cuteness below!

My 6 year old self is so happy with this assortment!

They're making it easy for beauty lovers to try high-end makeup, perfumes, and nail polishes, without ever having to go into a Sephora or make-up counter. What really piqued my interest was that they had Tom Ford, Dior and Gucci. I've been wanting to try some of these higher end brands for  while now to see if they are really worth the money.

Tula Probiotic Skincare Review

As I get closer to the last years of my late twenties, I’ve realized the importance of taking care of my skin. Bad skin can really age you, and who doesn’t want to look like they’re in their twenties forever?! This year especially I’ve been experimenting with different skincare products that will help me hang on to my youth as long as I can including: masks, eye creams and moisturizing creams.

I recently just found out about TULA, a skincare line that is all about probiotics. We all know probiotics are good for your digestion – I get my dose through yogurt every morning. They help to fight inflammation in the gut, and also help neutralize and block some toxins. Probiotics can also be used topically in skincare. According to World Health, these good bacteria can yield these benefits: wrinkle prevention, strengthening skin barrier, and upholding moisture.

Style Your Tech: Palm Leaf Laptop Skin

As a blogger and digital marketer, I'm always connected - either on my phone or on my laptop for work and blogging. I like to surround myself with pretty things and decided I wanted to personalize my Macbook as an extension of my style and personality. I already pay so much attention to my personal style when it comes to clothes and accessories, why shouldn't my tech items get the same attention? I knew I wanted some sort of skin for my Macbook, because I could easily apply it, and change it up if I want a new design. Keep reading for how you can win a custom laptop or phone case of your own!

I found this company called CaseApp. They have the best looking marble and leaf print cases for your phone and laptops. I also found out that you can fully customize your design! They have existing designs you can chose from (including every type of marble print you can image) or you can design your own images and upload them to their design widget.

Their design widget makes it super easy to add text or images to your design to fully customize your piece!

I had the hardest time deciding what I wanted for my design. They have so many amazing existing designs, but I knew I wanted to customize it somehow. I was very temped to go with a marble print, but decided on this palm leaf print instead. I chose to personalize it by putting the name of my blog on it.

You are able to add any text you want using their tool, but I created my blog name file in photoshop because I wanted a specific font and saved it as a .png with a transparent background. They also have a handful of cute graphics and quotes you can add. I chose to add a simple heart next to my name since the palm print was so busy.

The laptop skin came in a flat envelop with a hard cardboard backing so that it would not fold. The above shows the printed design on the sheet with the shape of the laptop die cut out. The material for the skin is a thicker textured sticker material that acts as a protective layer for the laptop. It's simple to apply, and easy to remove and re-place if you mess up. Application tip: I used the apple cutout in the middle as a guide for positioning, then pressed from the middle out to the edges pushing out all the air bubbles.
