There are so many fitness tips out there, and summer is just around the corner. For today's Motivation Monday, I'm sharing some of my favorite tips that help me personally. Just remember, you should always try and have a healthy lifestyle, and not just diet for quick results. Regular exercise and mindful nutrition are what I always try to do on a day to day, but of course, it's hard out there for a foodie. In the end, it's all about balance and not overindulging. Here are some of the main things I do to tone up.
I know I often don't drink enough water as I should. The best way to make sure you get enough water everyday is to have a good water bottle. The bottle in the above photo is a Hydro Flask, and it's insulated to keep cold drinks cold up to 24 hours, and hot drinks hot up to 12 hours. I love drinking out of this because I love my water icy, and it helps me to tracking how much water I've been drinking throughout the day. Calculate how much water you should be drinking here.
2. Try a Juice Cleanse
I love all the cold pressed fruit and veggie juices that you can get now! They're a good way to get your nutrients in. I often drink a juice for a snack, or part of my breakfast. Once in a while, I'll even do a 1 or 3 day juice cleanse. Just a PSA, the 3 day Suja juice cleanse is available at Costco! They have one you can do with food, or one that's only juice for a good price.
3. Try Quick & Effective Home Workouts
Sometime's I can't get myself to the gym, or I only have 15-30 minutes to get a work out in before I have to go somewhere. I like to have some fitness items on hand that will help with a quick and effective workout. I have 5 pound dumbbells, this TKO 4-way Resistance Bands, a jump rope and a yoga mat. The TKO resistance band is a good way to work your arms and your core, and has adjustable resistance. I often use Pinterest and YouTube to find good work outs I can do at home. 4. Wear Cute Workout Clothes!
Having cute clothes and shoes for working out will make you want to work out more. When you like what you're wearing, you'll want to get more use out of it. I know when I get new work out gear, it motivates me to want to put it on and get some good use out of it!
