Threads :: Transitioning your summer pieces to fall

Although it still feels like summer here in Southern California, I've been thinking of all the Fall colored clothes and accessories popping up in stores everywhere. I still love all my summer items so here's some ideas on how to transition your summer pieces to fall. Layering and bringing in richer shades will help to work your shorts, crop tops, kimonos and skirts into the new season.

Shorts
During the summer, I lived in shorts. Pair your shorts with sweaters, tights or over the knee socks and boots for an easy transition to fall.

Crop tops
This summer was the hay day for crop tops, everything became cropped! You don't have to put those crop tops away though. Pair them with a high-waisted skirt and layer button up shirts, and jackets to transition them to fall. Throw on a cute pair of open-toed booties to tied the look together.

Floral Kimono
Who doesn't love a great floral Kimono. Although this style is more reminiscent of warmer weather, we can still transition it to fall with a long sleeved maxi dress, some platform booties, and a suede fringe bag to mix up textures.

Chiffon Skater Skirt
Top your skater skirts w/ an oversized thick sweater and a fun suede or leather jacket with some pointed toe booties.
